Knaresborough Women’s Group (KWG) is made up of several small interest groups, these are listed on the next page and details of each group & how to join them is provided, please feel free to join a group & drop-in when you can.
We meet for coffee mornings, lunch, supper & drinks, & to share walks, books, crafts & ad hoc group visits/outings.
We occasionally have workshops & plan on having speakers in the future.
From informal get-togethers to open water swimming there’s probably something for everyone.
Knaresborough Women’s Group (KWG) was started in September 2024, bringing together almost 20 women, we decided to proceed as a discussion group & a subject for discussion was agreed for the next meeting in a fortnight. Over time the group changed as some women wanted a less formal arrangement, they peeled away from the original group & now operate as a separate ‘sister’ group which hosts 2 regular social groups for evenings out in Knaresborough. They have a Facebook page & a listing on the Whatsapp community group.
The original KWG has gone on to change & grow.
Going forward we are always open to ideas for new groups, shared activities & events. We want the group to bring local women together & to reflect their various interests. If you have any ideas please let us know, we can host new groups & advertise them or we can help with event management for one-off events.
